Girls Inc. was one of the first outlets I had that prompted me to begin taking the steps to become the person I am today. Being surrounded by women not only allowed me to feel more comfortable in my own skin, but also develop a sense of bravery being a woman seeking to be in a field of STEM, which is traditionally male-dominated. During GIGH meetings, I was able to understand how important it is to gain equal rights and feel comfortable in one’s own skin without fear of judgement from others. Girls Inc. has encouraged me to support my fellow women and share the things I learned at GIGH. I was always strong, bold and confident, but Girls Inc. enhanced a new perspective and encouraged me to see those part I did not see at first glance.
