Emily, a seventh grade student at YES Prep South Side, participated in our Project Bold: Living Safe and Strong program earlier this year. During the school year she gained a deeper sense of personal strength and safety; learning personal strength reflects both an inward and outward confidence, and comes from building a strong mind, body, and spirit. Through journaling, Emily amplified her voice and realized that she could “do anything boys can do, and more.”
