Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls Inc. of Greater Houston! The steps to becoming a volunteer with us are below:

  1. Complete the volunteer application using this link.
  2. Complete the volunteer orientation and follow the next steps within the Girls Inc. of Greater Houston orientation series.

Family STEM Nights
Workshops at participating elementary and middle schools for families to increase their love of STEM.

Camp SMART Spring Break and Summer Camps
Dynamic and engaging one-week camps for girls ages 7-12 that help then to develop an ethusiasm for STEM.

Weekend workshops for girls ages 13-18 to develop leadership skills, meet with mentors, and participate in STEM workshops.

Corporate Adopt-A-Program
Semester-long opportunity for corporate partners to volunteer and assist girls in exploring career paths.

Be BOLD Institute
A two-week summer experience for girls ages 13-18 to maintain a learning mindset, leadership development, and prepare for college and beyond.
Become A Social Ambassador
BOLD Leaders Summit
A one-day leadership conference for girls ages 13-18 to expose then to STEM careers, leadership workshops, dynamic speakers, and opportunities to participate in breakout sessions.

Alumni program to support young women through critical transitions - from high school to college to career

Our programs are delivered in schools and community spaces, so we do not have a physical center for large volunteer groups. However, we offer meaningful, smaller-scale opportunities. Groups can assemble STEM or family engagement kits either at their own location or at our office for distribution to the girls in our programs.
